Literacy Specialist – Online Dyslexia (Reading) Interventionist

Engage with our incredible students dealing with dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, and other learning obstacles through online sessions on platforms such as Zoom and/or Koala. Our virtual students span from 7 years old to adults, primarily falling within the elementary or middle school age range. This role presents both challenges and rewards, allowing you to work consistently with a set of clients, witnessing their growth and progress firsthand.

You have the flexibility to set your own schedule, but it's important to note that most students prefer after-school sessions during the academic year and before/after camp sessions in the summer. We are currently seeking individuals with a minimum availability of 4 hours between 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm CST, Mondays through Fridays, during the school year. Additionally, there may be some morning and weekend hours available.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Orton-Gillingham and extensive tutoring experience with OG methods.

  • Some exposure to Structured Word Inquiry is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Minimum of four years of experience working with children as a teacher or tutor, with a preference for experience with students facing learning challenges.

  • Minimum of 6 months of online tutoring experience preferred.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Commitment to dedicating at least 6 hours per week to work with students for a full calendar year.

  • Ability to adhere to a consistent lesson schedule (same times/days during the school year, with flexibility in the summer months June-August).

  • Residence in the United States with a clear criminal background and a completed sex offender registry check.

  • Reliable high-speed internet access and a new computer system with headphones/microphone.

  • A quiet and distraction-free work location.

  • Paid subscription to Zoom or Koala Go.

Compensation: $35.00 to $40.00 per 50-minute tutoring hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Math Specialist – Online Multisensory Math Interventionist

Math Specialist – Online Multisensory Math TutoCollaborate with our exceptional students facing dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and various learning challenges through virtual sessions utilizing the Zoom and/or Koala platform. Our online math students encompass a spectrum from 2nd to 12th Grade. This role entails both challenges and gratification; you will maintain a consistent roster of clients, meeting them one or multiple times per week, and witnessing their development and progress firsthand
